Ranting Daily
Ranting Daily is a 2-column Widget-ready theme originally created by Alex Mihaileanu for rantingdaily.com, now public. You can download it for free and use it wherever you feel you need it. You can download it with a single click.
It’s easy to use and edit. Download the .rar archive, unrar it and upload the “ranting daily” folder into your wp-content/themes/ folder. Go to your Dashboard, then click Presentation. Click on the thumbnail or on Ranting Daily 1.0 title. That’s it.
Remember to edit a few things, like the top paragraph. You can edit that info from your header.php file. Try to write a text no larger than 190, maximum 200 characters. If you will use a larger description, well… it’s gonna look bad. Any other things you should know about this theme? I don’t know what else I should add. It’s a widget ready theme, originally created for this blog, but hey! why wouldn’t I share it?
Something else: you might find it a little odd, but the sidebar content is located in rightside.php. I forgot to modify that, but the sky won’t fall on you if you use it as it is. Works perfectly fine just like that.
There’s something else I forgot to remove: the subscribe form. If you are using feedburner.com’s e-mail subscribe form, than remember to replace the feedburner ID from the rightside.php file. The actual feedburner subcribe form template might help you, and this is the exact reason why I will not re-upload the theme.
Oh, and in the end: please don’t remove the credits from the footer.php file.
